Communities across Australia continue to protest the Government’s plan to return 267 people seeking asylum to Nauru. This number includes 54 children, 37 babies (of whom many were born in Australia) and, according to doctors, victims of sexual assault while in detention. This morning in Bondi a crowd gathered at 6.30am, united in the campaign known as ‘Let Them Stay’, to voice their displeasure of the government’s callous treatment of this vulnerable group of people.
